Content Warnings
What content warnings does Baron & Zombie have?
Baron & Zombie contains the following elements which may appear without content warnings (though warnings will usually be present):
- Gore (violent & medical)
- Light alcohol and tobacco usage.
- Period-accurate prejudices from antagonists, including a handful of period-accurate slurs against Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese people.
Other elements will appear in the content warning section at the top of each chapter.
Can I skip chapters with CWs I can’t handle?
Sort of. The general content warnings listed above appear too frequently in the story to easily write around them. For chapters with more specific CWs, we try to include reasonable summaries for readers who want to skip. If you feel the need to skip a chapter but want to know what happens in it, leave a comment or reach out on the Discord.
I think a chapter should have a CW that isn’t listed.
Leave a comment on the chapter or ping me or a mod in the Discord! We’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Writing is inherently a time-limited process, and mistakes invariably slip through, while other changes are intentional. Nevertheless, I’ll hear you out, even if I don’t change the work.
Update Schedule
When does Baron & Zombie update?
There is an initial posting period of 6 chapters on June 29th, 2026, followed by near-daily releases through July 10th, 2026. Afterwards, this book updates twice a week, once on Wednesday and once on Saturday. This schedule runs between July 11th, 2026 and November 11th, 2026. At that point, the book is complete.
What about Scribblehub and RoyalRoad?
The other public sites are synced with this one. They release the same chapter at the same time. Read on whichever site you like, though this is the only place where you can seamlessly continue from public to Patreon chapters without having to change platforms.
Will Baron & Zombie ever stub/go on Kindle Unlimited or another paywalled platform?
No. I am committed to keeping the story free to read and easy to access.

How does early access work?
The latest advance access chapter goes live for Patrons at the same time public chapters do. If you’re a patron, you can read on patreon.com/cw/eesharp directly or here on the website. Advance chapters are visible on the Table of Contents and look like this; that page updates in real-time, so if you can see a chapter on there, it’s available. The site’s “latest chapter” widget in the header will also show you the latest advance access chapter instead of the public one if you’re logged in.
